A laptop computer is a personal computer for mobile use. Portable computers, originally monochrome CRT-based and developed into the modern laptops, were originally considered to be a small niche market, mostly for specialized field applications such as the military, accountants and sales representatives. As portable computers became smaller, lighter, cheaper, more powerful and as screens became larger and of better quality, laptops became very widely used for all sorts of purposes, by all sorts of people. Q. Hello. I'm looking for an older laptop/notebook (maybe P4 or a very cheap Dual Core). I know that new notebooks today have "free" wireless internet if you connect to an unsecured network. My question is are there notebooks/laptops like that with P4? Which I can probably get for cheaper as I only need a laptop for internet and nothing else. If you find one you like with no wireless, you can get a USB wireless adapter for $30. I just got a used Toughbook off Ebay for $200 and am pretty happy with it.
